Current Opportunities

  • Rising Stars’ Academy is seeking a Community Specialist to support our growing family and community engagement initiatives. This contract-based hybrid position offers flexibility while providing meaningful, hands-on service opportunities within our communities. RSA Community Specialist

    Position Overview

    Community Specialists serve as trusted partners for families, helping strengthen connections between education, support services, and community resources. Depending on specialization, the role may focus on:

    • Home-Based Casework

    • Mental Health Support Services

    • Educational Tutoring and Academic Support

    All Community Specialists collaborate to create welcoming, supportive experiences for families while promoting growth, resilience, and opportunity.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Build strong relationships with families, students, and community partners

    • Provide specialized services based on assigned role (casework, tutoring, or therapeutic support)

    • Communicate consistently with program teams to support coordinated care

    • Participate in community engagement initiatives and outreach efforts

    • Maintain accurate documentation and service reporting

    Qualifications

    • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills

    • Experience engaging with diverse communities

    • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities

    • Ability to work in hybrid environments (field, office, and/or remote)

    • Background in social services, education, or community programming preferred

    Requirements

    • Ability to pass a background check

    • Valid driver’s license

    • Authorization to work in the United States

    • Willingness to complete required screenings

    Preferred:

    • Bachelor’s degree

    • Licensed Certified Social Worker or related certification

    Compensation

    $20 – $60 per hour, depending on specialization, credentials, and experience.
